Mega Daughter Niharika Konidela is debuting as a feature film producer with Committee Kurrollu. The movie is hitting the big screens tomorrow, and it features Sandeep Saroj, Yashwant Pendyala, Trinath Varma, Prasad Behara, Ishwar Rachiraju, Manikantha Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, and others in crucial roles. Produced under the banner of Pink Elephant Pictures, Yadhu Vamsi is the director. Ahead of the release, Niharika interacted with the media and here is the transcript.

Tell us about the film briefly.

The movie is based on a local fest (Jaathara), which is held once in 12 years. Committee Kurrollu showcases the tale of three generations, and Vamsi Garu conceived the screenplay by adding his personal experiences, too. Vamsi Garu is a big fan of Pawan Kalyan Garu. The director depicted the incidents that happened during the 2019 election campaign in a satirical manner.

There are multiple characters in the film. How important are they to the story?

Every character holds great importance in the film. Every artist will get a chance to shine. Anudeep’s music is one of the biggest assets. He gave wonderful songs and background score. Audience will travel with at least one character. The movie has relatable characters and will appeal to a wide range of audiences.

Did your family members watch the movie?

Varun and Lavanya watched the film, and they liked it very much. I don’t worry about what outsiders say. My brother is straightforward, and if he doesn’t like something, he will tell it without hesitation. After watching Committee Kurrollu, he called and applauded me. Even the censor members enjoyed watching the film.

What was your reaction when the director said he wanted to cast newcomers?

I told him that the business would be affected if all the artists were newbies. He first asked me to listen to the script. Prasad Behera is the only person who is a noted face among all the actors. I didn’t select the actors. This film itself has chosen them. They worked on the movie for three years. No one struggled with dialogues.

What aspects do you consider before signing a film?

My priority is for good stories and concepts. I don’t think about other aspects if my role is written well. Even if the film has a small hero, I don’t mind acting in it. If a director approaches me with a good script, I will instantly give my nod.
