RGV has been churning out films one after the other. His latest release is the psycho thriller Anukshanam. This film has Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, and is slated to hit the screens this Saturday. We caught up with RGV for a brief interview, and let’s see what he has to say.

Q) What is the reason behind selecting a psycho thriller story ?

I have always been reading about psycho killers, and have followed their cases closely. As I have never made a film in this genre, I decided to go ahead with the script.

Q) Why did you choose Vishnu for this film ?

Vishnu has superb inherent talent, which was never brought out in his past few films. I tried to showcase it a bit in Rowdy, but with this film you will see him in a serious and meaningful role.

Q) Tell us about the psycho killer in the movie. Who is doing that role ?

A new actor named Surya is doing the role. He is splendid, and will surely impress the audience.

Q) What kind of preparation went in for this film ?

I read a lot of books on psycho killers, and watched documentaries about them. Once I got the hang of the script I set it to Indian sensibilities.

Q) Don’t you think you are introducing new ways of crime by making such films ?

I have told this many times, and once again I repeat that films are always made out of real life references anot vice versa. According to me, no one gets encouraged or inspired from such films.

Q) Why did you cast Revathi in this flick ?

We all know that Revathi is a superb actor. I wanted someone senior like her, who would bring in a lot of depth to the film.

Q) Do you think that the bidding system for distribution you have introduced will work in the long run ?

Yes ! definitely it would, and will give new lease of life to all those who want to get into movie business.

Q) You have attempted so many genre’s off late. When are you making a love story ?

Very soon, I will be making a love story in Telugu.

Q) How are Ice Cream 2 and 3 shaping up ?

Ice cream 2 is ready, and 3 will roll out soon. These are simple concept based low budget films, which will click even if they run for one day in the theaters.

Q) Can we ever expect a social message oriented film from you ?

Laughs ! I will never make such a film ever in my life.
