MAA Elections: Intense competition, Equal chance for Vishnu Manchu and Prakash Raj

The most crucial day for Telugu film actors has arrived finally. After an intense month-long campaign, the polling for the Movie Artiste’s Association (MAA) elections began this morning at 8 AM at Jubilee Hills Public School. Out of 925 MAA members, 883 actors have the right to vote. However, only 500 members are expected to cast their votes today.

Until 12 PM, out of the 883 votes, 287 votes have been polled, making it up to 32 percent. The polling will last till the evening and the results will be out at around 8 AM tonight. Compared to the previous elections, this year’s election is expected to register highest poll percentage. Stars like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Mohan Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Saikumar, Manchu Lakshmi, Posani Krishna Murali and several others have cast their votes in the first half of the polling.

Popular actors Prakash Raj and Vishnu Manchu are in the race for the MAA President post this time around. Both the panels indulged in a heavy-duty verbal war and made scandalous allegations and derogatory comments against opposition panels during the campaign.

While Prakash Raj is backed by the Mega family, Vishnu has the support of his father Mohan Babu and senior actor Naresh and others. Both the actors stand an equal chance to win this year’s contest, and their fate will be decided in a few hours. Stay tuned to for further updates.
