Since Rashmika and Vijay Deverakonda appeared on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan, the couple has been receiving backlash from a section of netizens. Rashmika revealing that she requested Vijay 100 times to marry her didn’t sit well with some women, who came down harshly on the actress. Rashmika has now come up with a lengthy post on Instagram, giving it back to her haters in her own style.
She wrote, “I am obsessed with my man and when did that become a bad thing? If I am not in love with the man I am marrying then why in the world would I marry him. Find a man who loves you so beautifully that even after you’re married, you’d want to tell him ‘Let’s get married.’ I would do it a thousand times. 100 is nothing. If our love doesn’t fit your imagination of what love should look like, that’s okay no?”
Reacting to the women who raised eyebrows over the way Rashmika requested Vijay’s hand in marriage, the actress stated that only Vijay was there for her when things were really hard, and not those women. Rashmika is surprised that some people believe random narratives, misleading edits, and absolute lies on the internet rather than believing what she says about her own life.
She further wrote, “Bitch about me all you want, I can take it. But talking about my family without knowing them? That’s not feminism. That’s bullying dressed up as feminism. Feminism was never about putting someone else down or establishing superiority. It was always about having the freedom to choose your own life and taking charge of it.”
