Netflix’s survival-thriller series Squid Game was a smash hit with record-breaking viewership. The series is about individuals with financial struggles who participate in a game to win a lump sum. The much-awaited second season is set to return after three years of the first season. The Korean show will drop on the digital platform on December 26. Today, a special teaser was launched on social media, which offers a sneak peek into Squid Game 2.
The new teaser shows Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-Jae) waking up to his doorbell ringing. He is very much tensed, and upon opening the door, Seong points a gun at someone. Later, the teaser jumps to the scene where men with pink jumpsuits are ready to welcome the new set of players for the deadliest game. Seong Gi-hun sports 456-number jersey once again.
He is shell-shocked to see himself back in the game. Along with Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo will be reprising their roles in this new installment. Hwang Dong-hyuk, who helmed the first season, is also directing Squid Game 2. The director stated that a lot of responsibility lies on his shoulders and added that he will make the wait worth it.
