Music Review : Shatamanam Bhavati – Earthy Album

The much-awaited audio of Sharwanand’s Shatamanam Bhavati is finally out in the market. Composed by the super talented Mickey J Meyer, let’s now see how this album turns out to be.

Song 1 : 3Mellaga Tellarindoi

Analysis : The album kick starts with the song Mellaga Tellarindoi which is a happy go lucky fun montage number. Sung beautifully by Ramya Behara, this song hits you instantly with its peppy chorus which has been tuned quite superbly. Mickey J Meyer composes this number in a very earthy manner which describes the nature quite beautifully.

Song 2: Shatamanam Bhavati2

Analysis : The second song, Shatamanam Bhavati reminds you of yet another recent title song Sitamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Even though both the tunes are quite different, the atmosphere, singing by Chitra and the feel good nature of both these songs are the same. More than the composition, it is the superb lyrics by Ramjogayya Sastry which catch your attention right away. A true winner, this is the best song on the entire album and will impress you, even more, when you watch it on screen.

Song 3: Naalo Neeve1

Analysis : Moving on, the album continues with a soothing romantic ballad called Naalo Neeve. Once again, this song eminds you off Krishna Vamsi’s Nuvvu Nuvvu from Khadgam. Mickey J Meyer tunes this number quite cleverly and churns out a pleasant track which is filled with some moving romantic lyrics. This song will surely be liked by the younger generation as it is filled with some lovely romantic moments.

Song 4: Nilavade4

Analysis : The fourth song, Nilavade is an old school number sung by none other than the legendary SP Balasubramanyam. It is so good to hear him sing after a long time and SPB does complete justice to this song with his terrific voice modulations. Mickey JMeyer composes this number on a simple note and brings back memories from the 90’s.

Song 5: Hailo Hailessahailo

Analysis : The last song on the album is the typical Sankranthi number which showcases the rural culture and festive atmosphere in the villages. The mood is upbeat and lyrics are quite fun. Probably, the only fast number in the album, this song will be even sound better when you watch the colorful visuals on screens.

Verdict:-

On the whole, Shatamanam Bhavati is an album which has some influences of Krishna Vamsi and Srikanth Addala’s school of music in a good way. Mickey J Meyer sticks to the concept and churns out some very earthy and beautiful songs. Shatamanam Bhavati, Naalo Neeve and Mellaga Tellarindoi are our picks and will surely be liked by one all. This album is a clear winner and will sound even better after you watch the film and travel with the interesting characters.
