Now that the release of Janatha Garage is finally around the corner, we caught up with star hero NTR for a detailed interview. Let’s see what he has to say.

Q) How has the whole journey of Janatha Garage been ?

It has been a fabulous experience. The script challenged and provided me enough scope to perform. I play a nature lover in the film and Koratala Shiva wanted me to showcase a varied range of emotions which was quite difficult. With this film, I have grown immensely as an actor.

Q) Off late, you have been focusing more on becoming an actor more than a star. What made you change ?

The birth of my son, my age and the changing times have made me take a different route altogether. I am tired of being called a star hero. You have to live in the reality and try out various roles then only your fans and audience will appreciate you.

Q) How difficult was it to transform yourself after Nannaku Prematho ?

It was quite difficult. Right from my look to the costumes, everything had to be normal. Thanks to my stylist Ashwin who has done a wonderful job. We used a simple look which would connect with everyone.

Q) You have a huge mass following already. How differently did Koratala Shiva showcase you in this film ?

Firstly, I want to eradicate the word called mass. For me, mass is nothing but a huge number of audience who watch your film. It is the trade which has divided the audience. Everyone is the same and Koratala Shiva has made this film which will be liked by one and all.

Q) Your working experience with Mohan Lal ?

More than the professional bonding, I became a huge fan of him personally. He is a very self-content and inspiring person and I have learnt a lot from him during these six months.

Q) How confident are you about the film’s success ?

As far as I am concerned, I am very happy with the output. Janatha Garage has been quite a learning experience for me personally. Having said that, everyone needs to appreciate it with open arms and then only I will be happier.

Q) You made a very emotional speech during the audio launch. Any particular reason ?

Maybe, I am evolving with my age. Things were quite different when I was quite young. I have changed a lot and my thinking is in the right and positive direction now.

Q) How was it working with Nithya and Samantha ?

Janatha Garage has given both the heroines equal importance and tremendous scope to perform. I had a ball working with them.

Q) You seem to have toned down your dances of late. Any particular reason ?

Yes ! Initially, I used to go all out and dance even without any proper situation. But now, I have mended my ways and am dancing keeping only my character and script in mind.

Q) Finally, what do you have to say to the fans who are going crazy for their heroes ?

It feels very happy when you know that your have fans love you to no extent. But at the same time, it feels scary to find out that the same fans are fighting and doing scary things for their heroes. All I want to say is that one should love your country first and then their hero.
