Vaishnav Tej is ready with his third film called Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga which will release tomorrow. On this occasion, we caught up with him for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.
What made you say yes to the film?
I loved the emotions in the film. When I heard the script, I felt that the emotional quotient would be loved by the family audience. Also, as I was doing a fun role for the first time, I grabbed the opportunity.
Tell us about your role in the film?
I play an MBA student in this film who has issues with his close friend played by Ketika Sharma. I play a fun loving youth who loves to tease girls and have a ball.
About your brother getting emotional on stage?
He has gone through a lot in his life recently. He was away from the media and loves me. So, when he was speaking about me after a long time, he choked and it was completely fine.
Working with the likes of Ketika Sharma?
I had a ball working with her. Thanks to her hyperness, I got to open up a lot which also helped me in playing my role. She has an equally good role and did her best.
About the director Gireeshayya?
I listened to a lot of scripts but Gireeshayya’s story attracted me more. He has written the characters in a sensible manner which will be loved by one and all. His sensibilities will surely match the tastes of today’s audience.
About imitating Pawan Kalyan?
There is a scene in the film where I need to feel extremely shy. I did it my way but it came out like I am imitating my Mama. I have no complaints about getting compared as he is the best.
Future projects?
I am doing a film with newcomer N Srikanth Reddy and Sithara Entertainments is producing the film. I am taking baby steps and choosing my own projects. I am here to do good work and grow to greater heights in Telugu cinema.
