Baby, the upcoming romantic film, is having a good buzz among the audiences. The film, written and directed by Sai Rajesh, features Anand Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, and Viraj Ashwin in the lead roles. SKN produced Baby under Mass Movie Makers, which is scheduled for release on 14th July. Vijai Bulganin composed the tunes. Today we had a brief interaction with Anand Deverakonda, and here is the transcript.
Could you give us a gist about the film?
Baby is a realistic film packed with intense emotions. When we fall in love, we experience so many things. The movie will be more intense than what was shown in the trailer, and I am confident most audiences will relate to the characters.
What made you do this movie?
Love is a universal subject, and there have been multiple films on love in various languages. The writing capability of Sai Rajesh Garu is very unique. He has a different perspective towards love. The presentation will be new.
Your performance looks mature in the trailer. How did that happen?
When Sai Rajesh Garu narrated me the script, he told me that my character would be very challenging to play. A unique thing about Rajesh Anna is that he will say how important each scene and that’s how he brings the best out of his actors.
Could you tell us a few words about Vaishnavi Chaitanya?
She is a brilliant performer. Vaishnavi will be the next big thing in Tollywood. She will be flooded with many offers after Baby’s release. Having someone like Vaishnavi on the sets helps others perform better. I enjoyed working with her.
Will Vijay Deverakonda suggest you regarding the kind of scripts to work on?
I will tell him whom I am working with but won’t reveal the entire story. He will leave the decision-making to me, and he will just give me some inputs. He has been in the industry for a long time and knows what kind of content will captivate the audiences.
The film’s runtime is quite lengthy. How would you see this?
Sometimes we might get bored watching a two-hour film too. Despite their runtime, we enjoyed watching Arjun Reddy and RRR, as they had solid content. We have a lot to tell in the film, and all three characters have equal importance. The screenplay will be fast-paced.
Could you tell us about your future projects?
My upcoming film Gam Gam Ganesha falls under the crime comedy genre. We are almost done with the shoot. We are planning to release it by the end of this year. I don’t have any dream roles as such.
