Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s PAN Indian film Tiger Nageswara Rao will release in theatres on October 20. Directed by Vamsee, the action drama has Nupur Sanon and Gayatri Bharadwaj as the female leads. The film produced by Abhishek Agarwal is based on a few real-life incidents. GV Prakash Kumar composed the tunes. Ahead of the release, producer Abhishek Agarwal interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

What made you produce a film on Tiger Nageswara Rao?

Generally, filmmakers do biopics on actors, cricketers, and other celebrities. After watching the film, you will understand why we made a film on a dacoit. What made him a thief? What did he do after becoming a thief? You will find the answers in the film. Tiger Nageswara Rao is a content-rich film.

Three big films are releasing at a time? How do you see this?

We were particular about Dussehra release from the very beginning. Two to three big films releasing for a festival is a common phenomenon. We are very confident in our product and believe in the audience. I am sure the audience will lap up the film. Tiger Nageswara Rao has solid hype in North India as well.

You have already produced PAN Indian films, but this is the first PAN Indian film for the director. What suggestions did you give him?

We make decisions as a team. I share a brotherly bond with Vamsee, and hence, we enjoyed the whole process. I have said this multiple times. Vamsee owned the film and gave it his all.

Ravi Teja worked extremely hard for the film, right?

He gave us excellent support and did all the action scenes by himself. Though Ravi Teja Garu got injured, he continued shooting. The movie will remain my all-time favorite film. This journey has been memorable. We worked as a team to deliver a quality product to the audience.

Anupam Kher Garu is part of most of your films. Is there a reason behind it?

Anupam Kher is our lucky charm. He treats me as his kid. Whenever I approach him for a role, he immediately gives his nod. That is the amount of confidence Anupam Kher Garu has in me.

You have promoted the film aggressively in Hindi. Tell us about it.

Tiger Nageswara Rao is our dream project. Hence, we took extreme care regarding the marketing from the beginning. We launched the first look in a grand way in Rajamundry. Later, we launched the trailer in the North. We did what all we had to do for our dream project. The response has been spectacular from North India.

What’s your reaction to receiving the National Award? Could you tell us about your future projects?

National Award moved to tears. We achieved such a prestigious award very early in our film journey. What more will a producer ask for? Coming to our future projects, we are planning another biopic, and it will also surprise one and all.
