DJ Tillu will release this Saturday and on this occasion, we caught up with the producer Naga Vamsi for a chat. Here is the transcript.
What made you say yes to Dj Tillu?
During the break in the first lockdown, I happened to watch Krishna And His Leela and loved the film. I approached Siddhu and asked him to come up with a story. He came up with a romantic drama which I rejected. The moment he narrated DJ Tillu I said okay.
Is Neha Shetty being showcased in a poor light?
From the trailers, it feels like that but her role is quite different and what we have done with her will be known only when the film is right.
Will there be a sequel to DJ TIllu?
Yes, the news going around is true. We are in plans to make a sequel and have left a few threads open. If the film clicks, the sequel will surely be made. For now, I feel that this film will be a rage with the youngsters.
About giving chance to young talent in Sithara Entertainments?
In the past, we have been listening to a lot of content. The likes of Siddhu Jonnalagadda need a push as he is a great writer as well. Our upcoming films with Naveen Polishetty, Adivi Sesh, and others are helmed by young debutantes. Film-making has changed and the new generation should be given a chance.
About Bheemla Nayaks’s release?
The film is ready and if the ticket rates issue gets solved in AP and 50% occupancy is removed, we are ready for a massive February 25th release.
