Young actor Nikhil who is in superb form would be next seen in the film 18 Pages. The film has the gorgeous beauty Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead. Palnati Surya Pratap is directing the film. Produced by GA2 Pictures and Sukumar Writings, the film is up for a grand release in theaters on December 23, 2022. Ahead of the film’s release, we briefly interacted with Nikhil, and here is the transcript.

Do you have the pressure as your previous film is a monstrous hit?

The PAN Indian success will definitely give pressure, and according to me, success brings more tension. I am pretty excited about 18 Pages and hoping it to be a good hit. Also, I am planning my career carefully.

Were there any changes made to the film’s plot due to Karthikeya 2 success?

We haven’t touched the plot, and it remained the same from the start. We just reshot a few sequences to make the output better. Our director was busy with Pushpa during the film’s journey. But the story penned by Sukumar didn’t change.

Didn’t you plan the PAN India release for 18 Pages?

That actually is a huge process, and even if we take the example of Sita Ramam, they dubbed it and released it in Hindi after a while. Dubbing is a big procedure, and we shouldn’t do it for the sake of doing it. With regard to Karthikeya 2, we had plans to release it in Hindi from the very beginning.

What’s the reason for naming the film 18 Pages?

You need to watch the film to know the reason. I was not able to guess the film’s climax. There is a thrill element in this film which is unusual in a love story. There will be an element of suspense about whether the lead pair will meet or not toward the end.

Can you tell something unique about the film?

There are family elements as well in 18 Pages. There is a good message to youth. We generally hear about acid attacks and mental health getting affected during breakups. Heroine’s dialogue will resonate with a lot of people. It also talks about how people should take care of their elders.

Lately, North audiences are preferring South content. What aspects do you think they like about south cinema?

One of the things I have noticed is that we stay true to our culture. There can be many reasons, but this is one thing that I feel has more impact. North filmmakers are making only class films which is why the audience over there is showing interest in watching our movies.

What about your future projects?

I will be having two releases in the new year. One of them is SPY, which talks about a national point. It is about India’s secret aspect. I wish the best for Ravi Teja sir’s Dhamaka, which is also releasing tomorrow along with 18 Pages.
