Saindhav, starring Victory Venkatesh, is up for a grand release this Saturday. Saindhav is the 75th film in Venkatesh’s career. The movie is directed by HIT fame Sailesh Kolanu. Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainment banner produced the film. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Arya, Andrea Jeremiah, and others played vital roles. Ahead of the release, the director interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

Do you feel any pressure as Saindhav is Venkatesh’s 75th film?

Initially, there wasn’t much pressure, but it crept in during the last week. I watched the videos of Venkatesh Garu’s journey, and it created a sense of responsibility to deliver a noteworthy film. However, Venkatesh Garu himself didn’t impose any pressure on us. We are sure the movie will strike a chord with the audience.

Why did you choose popular actors like Andrea, Arya, and Ruhani for supporting roles?

Each character in Saindhav serves a purpose, conveying a message. They were chosen based on their ability to communicate and bring awareness about the struggles faced by people with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The intention was to reach a broader audience and make Saindhav’s story impactful.

Why there are mostly night sequences in Saindhav?

Almost 70% of Saindhav’s story unfolds at night. It creates an exciting and captivating atmosphere. The intro of the characters will set a comfortable tone, but soon, the audience will be engrossed in the thrilling narrative.

Whose decision was it to cast Nawazuddin Siddiqui?

It was my decision. Venkatesh Garu later supported my idea. Then, we approached the film producer Venkat Garu. Nawazuddin Garu’s role will bring a distinct flavor to the film and he took extreme care for Telugu dubbing.

Could you tell us about the fictional city Chandraprastha in Saindhav?

Chandraprastha was created to portray a large-scale story involving drug cartels and the gun business. The believability factor will be missed if the story is set in Vizag. The nativity factory will be missed if the movie is set in Mumbai. Hence, I created a fictional city.

Will there be a sequel to Saindhav?

If the audiences like Saindhav, I am sure a sequel will be made. Both Venkatesh Garu and I are open to doing Saindhav 2, provided there is a demand from the audience.

Could you tell us about the latest development regarding HIT 3?

HIT 3 is currently in the writing phase. We believe in allowing a marination period for films that are in the franchise. HIT 3 requires one and a half years of time.
