Actor Siddharth will be next seen in the movie Takkar which releases this Friday. Written and directed by Karthik G Krish, the film features Divyansha Kaushik as the leading lady. The movie is a joint production venture by TG Vishwa Prasad, Abhishek Agarwal, and Passion Studios. Nivas K Prasanna is the music composer. Ahead of the release, we had a brief interaction with the protagonist, and here is the transcript.

What is the film all about?

The movie majorly revolves around the clash between two individuals. Furthermore, the film portrayed multiple clashes, including a conflict between the hero and the heroine, the hero and the villain, and clashes of ego, gender, and money. Situations make the protagonist a kidnapper, steered by the desire to earn money.

How are you feeling as you are returning to the Telugu industry?

Right now Telugu film industry is holding a significant value, and SS Rajamouli himself is a brand. Telugu audiences have immense love for movies. When questioned about not doing Telugu films in the past, I said that I would accept a good film regardless of the language.

Did you get vexed with love stories?

Love stories demand a lot from actors, and they would also be exhausting. There is this notion in the industry that if an actor does love stories, he should only continue doing love story films. Even within the realm of love stories, some have set a standard that will influence future narratives. However, if I were to create a successful love story, I might risk being typecasted for the next decade.

Could you talk about your different look in Takkar?

My director Karthik Krish possesses an eccentricity that translates into diverse looks. My new look in Takkar film serves a purpose, and one scene justifies it. As an actor, I have managed to transcend the persona of Siddharth and involve myself in a different character.

Will you make Bommarillu 2?

Bommarillu is very special to my heart. Many see it as more than just a film. The emotions projected in Bommarillu are unmatched, and making a sequel to it is an uphill task. It will be very challenging to recreate that magic.

Could you tell us about your future projects?

After Takkar, I am doing Chinna, which is being produced in my home banner. Also, I am part of Indian 2, for which I am highly thrilled. Then there is this unique film named Test which also features Madhavan and Nayanathara. Furthermore, I am excited to collaborate with Karthik Krish on another film. I want to do diverse films.
