Young hero Vijay Devarakonda, who tasted a huge success with Pelli Choopulu, is coming up with yet another entertainer titled Dwaraka. The film is releasing on March 3rd. On this occasion, we had a small chitchat with him. Here is the transcript.

Q) How is the film going to be?

A) The entire film happens in an apartment called Dwaraka. In general, we come across people with different mindsets and with various cultural habits. How Lord Sri Krishna dealt with them in his Dwaraka is the main theme of the movie.

Q) Tell us about your character in the film?

A) My character’s name in the film is Yerra Seenu, who turns a thief for livelihood. In that process, he once enters into Dwaraka apartment and how he becomes baba for the residents and resolves their problems forms the rest of the story.

Q) Why did the film’s release get delayed?

A) Actually, we planned to release the movie is November, but demonetization happened all of a sudden. So we thought of releasing the movie after everything back to normalcy and we are coming now.

Q) This film is coming after Pelli Choopulu’s grand success. Did you make any changes to the script?

A) No, by the time Pelli Choopulu released we almost completed Dwaraka’s shooting except for the songs.

Q) Which aspects made you sign this film?

A) The screenplay of the movie was very good. The first half of the movie just passes away with some good entertainment and I never played a role of baba so I just gave it a shot.

Q) Did you do any homework for this role?

A) Yeah, I saw some videos on YouTube, but we can’t do the same in the film. So I blindly followed my director and did whatever he said.

Q) Would you have you accepted this film if it was offered post-Pelli Choopulu?

A) Definitely, I would have done it because the storyline of the film is very impressive.

Q) Tell us about your upcoming projects?

A) Currently, I signed two films for Geetha arts and apart from these I have four more projects which will kick-start soon.

Q) Are you banking on Pelli Choopulu’s craze?

A) Yeah, I have hiked my remuneration (Laughs).

Q) We heard that you wanted to become a director but turned an actor?

A) Initially, I kept a particular time frame and tried out as an actor. I had decided to become a director as an alternative if I couldn’t become an actor by the time I turned 25.
