Star heroine Kajal Aggarwal and Bellamkonda Srinivas’ upcoming social drama, Sita, is gearing up for a May 24th release. On this occasion, we had a brief interview with Kajal. Here is the transcript.

Q) What is Sita is all about?

A) It is a modern day story. Sita is the story of an ambitious lady, who wants to make it big in life. My role is showcased as a representation of today’s girl who only believes in getting things done by hook or crook.

Q) Tell us about your director?

A) I have a lot of respect for Teja sir. He narrated this story to me years back but due to my commitments, I couldn’t do it. Later, while doing Nene Raju Nene Mantri he once again reminded me of this story and then itself I told him that I will do this project. So that’s how Sita took off.

Q) Did he made any changes for the initial first draft of the film?

A) Yes. A few changes were made that too for a betterment. Teja sir did his best for the film. Hope it works out big-time.

Q) Any relateable qualities between Sita and Kajal?

A) There are a few qualities which I can relate to myself with Sita but at the same time, there are some shades which are the complete opposite of my lifestyle in real life.

Q) How was it doing a grey shaded character?

A) I totally loved doing this character because not many films offer you a performance-oriented role. I had clarity about how Sita is going to be. So, according to the director’s guidelines, I did whatever was best for the given role.

Q) Did you take special care while doing this film?

A) No. I sincerely followed what Teja sir told and gave my cent percent to bring life to my character. I literally have given sweat, blood, and tears for the film.

Q) A few words about Sai Srinivas?

A) We both became very good friends during Kavacham shoot and it helped us to perform even better for this film. He really worked hard for the film and you will see it on the screen for sure.

Q) Is Indian 2 still on?

A) Yes. It is very much on and will start from the month of June. As Kamal sir is busy right now with his political career, Shankar sir gave a temporary break for the film.

Q) Upcoming films?

A) One film with Sharwanand in Telugu and another one with Jayam Ravi in Tamil are ready for the release.
