Kranthi, Nishanth and Dikku are the heroes in the new movie ‘Duniya’. Reena, Anuhya Reddy and Alisha Baig are the female leads. Geetha Sri has produced this movie and L.K.Rao is the director.

Story :

Azhar, Vivek and Abhi are three very thick friends who live in a common room in Hyderabad. They have three girlfriends and life goes on. Meanwhile, a Pakistani religious cleric Noor Shah, plans to destabilize India by planning a series of incidents in Hyderabad. Three extremists from Pakistan are sent to Hyderabad to carry out these activities. Unfortunately, Azhar gets mixed up in the plot by accident. Noor Shah tries to force Azhar to join them and incites him in the name of religion. But Azhar resists. Noor Shah then threatens to kill Vivek and Abhi if Azhar doesn’t co-operate. What does Azhar do? Does he surrender to Noor Shah? That forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Kranthi has done a good job in the movie. He has shouldered the film well, as the story revolves mainly around him.The person who has played Noor Shah’s character has done an admirable job as a villain. Surya is ok. The lady who played the character of Asrin, the Indian journalist in Pakistan, did a good job.

Minus Points:

Nishanth and Dikku disappoint in their roles.None of the actresses make an impression. There are many loopholes in the screenplay and the first half proceeds along very slowly. None of the songs make an impression. There is next to zero comedy in the movie and that will be a major minus for casual movie goers.

There are no major stars or known faces in the movie and that will be a big minus.

Technical Aspects :

Editing is bad and jerky. Cinematography is poor. The music provided by Raman Rathod is not very impressive. Background score is just about ok. Some of the dialogues are good and have a nice mass touch. Direction could have been a lot better.

Verdict:

Duniya is a movie which might appeal to hardcore patriotic movie lovers. There are a lot of flaws in the movie and there is nothing for the casual movie goer in this movie. Some punch dialogues will get whistles and claps in B and C centers. The lack of any known faces will also be a hindrance.
