M S Raju is back after a long gap, and this time he has come with his son Sumanth Ashwin, who makes his Tollywood debut. Karthik Raja scores music for this film which also has another newcomer Rhea. The movie, which had some good expectations on it,has finally released this week so let’s see how it is.

Story:

Rama Swamy(Prabhu) and Ravindra Babu( Nagababu)are childhood friends who stay together. Their kids Karthik (Sumanth) and Nidhi(Rhea) are of the same age but they hate each other and torment each other by playing pranks. After a certain while, Nidhi is sent abroad for her further studies.

After a gap of 12 years, Nidhi comes back and meets Karthik at a family function. It’s love at first sight for Karthik, but he hides his identity. Slowly Nidhi comes to know the truth, and in the process, falls for Karthik’s charms. Just when everything seems rosy, Nidhi’s family wants her to marry someone else. The rest of the story is about how Karthik solves all the issues and wins his love.

Plus Points:

Sumanth Ashwin makes a decent debut. He is particularly good with his dances. Lot of hard work has gone into his debut and that shows on screen. He has trained himself very nicely for the role. His looks, dialogue delivery and action sequences are good.

Rhea as the heroine, has a striking resemblance to that of Genelia. She has lot of scope in her character to off show her acting skills, which she managed quite well. Music of the film is quite decent and particularly for the title song.

Family drama is carved out quite nicely and some lively atmosphere is built up in the first half. Climax and pre-climax episodes are good. Sayaji Shinde, Prabhu and Nagababu play their roles aptly.

Minus Points:

There are many cliched elements in the story. Too many characters make their entry which makes the film little confusing for the first half hour.

Comedy is missing from the movie and some humor could have made the film a lot better. Story drifts in the second half and has some very unnecessarily dramatic moments. Hero has nothing to do in the second half.

The story is old and there is nothing novel in terms of screenplay and narration.

Technical Aspects:

Cinematography is very good in the movie. Locations and scenic view has been shot beautifully.

Production values are very good and M S Raju has not compromised on them.

Music of the movie can be a plus point as it has some decent scores form Karthik Raja. Screenplay could have been a lot better. Choreography is really good and has highlighted Sumanth’s abilities well. Dialogues are neat and clean.

Verdict:

Tuneega Tuneega is a typical debut vehicle for a new hero. Sumanth Ashwin makes a good impression and he is good. But the story is old and very routine. Nothing new in. terms of narration or treatment. Watch this movie only if you have nothing else to do.
